Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC) warned of a "sexless" America in a rant against Democrats.

Cawthorn made comments Wednesday night on the far-right OAN network during a discussion with Dan Ball.

"I'm telling you, when I see the people that are in Washington, DC who are trying to insert their woke politics into our culture, trying to destroy western civilization, trying to take all of our morality away from everyone, trying to make everyone genderless, sexless, and Godless," he warned.

This is the problem when you get your information off of right wing media. You think that you are saying something when all you are spouting is a bunch of crap.

In many European countries, where the rates of atheism are higher and religiosity is lower, crime rates are also lower, and happiness or life satisfaction is higher. I don't think that they are having any difficulty with their morality or sexuality there. Maybe, read an actual book or studies, or something not off some ultra right wing blog sometime Cawthorn. Maybe if you hadn't dropped out of college or if you had actually gone to class instead of allegedly harassing women there, you might have a better understanding of how the world actually works.

When he says "sexless" he is making reference to the idea that "we can't tell what a man or a woman is anymore". It is a very common argument on the right. Ben Shapiro is a very big proponent of the idea that "there are only two sexes" and they conflate gender with biological sex AND sexuality.

You are right, they are buzzwords, but they have specific meaning within the context of right wing talking points. Again, Cawthorn is so stupid, that he either doesn't understand these concepts on any intellectual level, or he is so stupid, that he has to base his understanding in some old religion that was made up by bronze age desert dwellers.

Either way, he is stupid.

Four women told BuzzFeed News that Cawthorn, now a rising Republican star, was aggressive, misogynistic, or predatory toward them. Their allegations include calling them derogatory names in public in front of their peers, including calling one woman “slutty,” asking them inappropriate questions about their sex lives, grabbing their thighs, forcing them to sit in his lap, and kissing and touching them without their consent. One of these women now works as an intern for another Republican member of Congress and passes Cawthorn in the corridors of the Capitol. According to more than a dozen people — including three women who had firsthand experience and seven people who heard about these incidents from them at the time — Cawthorn often used his car as a way to entrap and harass his women classmates, taking them on what he could call “fun drives'' off campus. Two said he would drive recklessly and ask them about their virginity and sexual experiences while they were locked in the moving vehicle.

But the allegations from Cawthorn's time in college were widely known among former students -- so much so that in October, more than 150 former students signed onto a letter blasting the then-candidate for his behavior during his stint at the school, which they wrote "was marked by gross misconduct towards our female peers."

"During his brief time at the college, Cawthorn established a reputation for predatory behavior. His modus operandi was to invite unsuspecting women on 'joy rides' in his white Dodge Challenger. Cawthorn would take young women to secluded areas, lock the doors, and proceed to make unwanted sexual advances," the letter read, noting that women at the school were warned not to be alone with Cawthorn.

The former students urged voters in North Carolina's 11th Congressional District "to seriously reevaluate Madison Cawthorn's candidacy in light of who he really is," and called on them to "reject (him) at the ballot box."

JTA — The Jewish mayor of Asheville, North Carolina, said it is “very concerning” that the Republican congressional candidate in her district visited Adolf Hitler’s vacation home and referred to him as “the Fuhrer.”

The candidate, Madison Cawthorn, is running to represent western North Carolina in Congress. In a 2017 Instagram post from the Eagle’s Nest, Hitler’s vacation home that was one of the last battlegrounds of World War II, Cawthorn referred to Hitler as “the Fuhrer” and said the spot was on his “bucket list,” in addition to calling Hitler a “supreme evil.”

“ It’s very concerning,” Manheimer told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency Wednesday. “Throughout the last several years, since Trump has been elected president, I think all of us have seen that white supremacists are emboldened and are publicly making their positions known, and to elect someone to office who openly throws out dog whistles like this, it just makes me really sad, actually, first and foremost. It makes me sad, disappointed, worried.”

Cawthorn briefly took down the photos after the website Jezebel called attention to them. But they were publicly visible again Wednesday, and Cawthorn tweeted that the criticism is “another fake news controversy.” In defense of the post, he tweeted a photo of grinning Allied soldiers who conquered the Eagle’s Nest in 1945. “They weren’t celebrating evil; they were celebrating their victory over evil,” he wrote.
