Baltimore loses appeal to stop Inner Harbor rally featuring Milo Yiannopoulos, Steve Bannon

https://www.baltimoresun.com/politics/bs-md-ci-baltimore-appeal-church-militant-20211103-7dxffa3exff73jlngiapfwhprm-story.html

The U.S. 4th Circuit Court of Appeals has upheld a decision by a federal judge to allow a prayer rally headlined by Milo Yiannopoulos and Steve Bannon to proceed at Baltimore’s Inner Harbor this month over the objections of Baltimore officials.

The decision, filed late Wednesday, does not delve into a legal discussion about the case, stating only that the ruling of U.S. District Court Judge Ellen Hollander has been affirmed.

Hollander issued an injunction last month barring Baltimore officials from interfering with the rally to be hosted by conservative Catholic news outlet St. Michael’s Media at the city-owned MECU Pavilion. St. Michael’s Media, also known as Church Militant, sued Baltimore and various city officials in September after they were informed that they would be denied access to the waterfront pavilion.

The event, billed as a rally and prayer meeting, is scheduled to coincide with a U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops meeting at the nearby Marriott Baltimore Waterfront on Nov. 16. City officials objected to advertised appearances by Yiannopoulos and Bannon, both well-known political provocateurs, arguing that there was a “legitimate fear” the rally “would incite violence in the heart of downtown Baltimore.”

Keep in mind that these rallies or whatever they are have dwindling numbers. General Flynn had close to nobody show up. I’m sure this will be similar.

I spent 4th of July there in 2003. If you're right on the edge of the water, and there's a crowd behind you, it's nearly impossible to leave an event until it's over. There are small Harbor police and medical vessels in the water for emergencies, but you can feel trapped until the people along the outer edge at East Pratt Street decide to disperse.
I doubt Milo will have a huge turnout, but there are a lot more wingnuts in Baltimore and the surrounding counties than I ever thought there would be.

There should be some kind of help with the event then. Maybe some others will blockade the place and keep them there way past bed time.
