...I'm not sure how much legs the "Obama's failings" attack has at this point. But Romney behaving like an irrational, finger pointing, asshat before any facts were known is, at the very least, NOT what most Americans are looking for from their leader. I think if President Obama can hammer away at Mittiot on this point, he can expose him for the hysterical, neophyte, light weight on foreign affairs that he is.
Gas prices should be a winner, too, because Mittiot is trying to make it appear as though the President is responsible for the price of gas rather than the international market place!

(6,286 posts)I haven't heard a single soul bring it up, and I live in Teabagger Paradise. I think most people know that stuff happens, and you do the best you can to mitigate it. Plus the average person is not going to sift through a timeline of events to try to find out who said what and when.
If they remember anything, it will be Romney rushing to the microphone that night and blasting the administration with a stupid ass smirk on his face, practically pleasuring himself on camera to the sight of four dead Americans he could exploit. Usually he only gets to exploit the live ones.

(14,536 posts)if rMoney brings up gas prices Obama's respose would be this. The only way I could have control over the gas prices is if I nationalize the oil companies. Is that what you are saying you are going to do, Gov'ner?

(4,840 posts)The President should pose the rhetorical question to Romney: Are you suggesting that Ronald Reagan, after the Beirut barracks bombing in 1983 in which, not four, but over four hundred American service personnel and marines were killed and occurred in a region previously already known for terrorist attacks, was unfit to be reelected? is that what you are suggesting, Governor Romney?
Also they should fact check Romney's responses to Reagan and the Beirut barracks bombing.
