The pattern of their short careers now is that they always fall in line and won't come through on their bloviating if it might hurt them. Apparently so far they're always afraid of the consequences because they never have voted in opposition when it would have made a difference.

Replacing lead pipes

According to the EPA, the money appropriated in the bill will replace LESS THAN A THIRD of the lead pipes in the country, meaning more than two-thirds of those communities will still have contaminated water.

Broadband access for low-income and rural areas

According to the experts, will NOT provide 'Universal Broadband', as a bunch of folks are running around saying. Most of rural America will be left behind.

it will replace one-third of the lead pipes in the country.

1) Which leaves more than two-thirds of communities with lead pipes with deadly contaminated water.

2) That's not what they claimed was in the bill.

It will provide broadband to millions of Americans

1) Don't see how.

2) That's not what they claimed was in the bill.

Sure, it got the ball rolling on social insurance and once people got used to the idea we were able to expand and strengthen it -- but it wasn't perfect, so it should never have been passed at all, according to some logic.
