Ted Cruz Talks About Joe Rogan Being 'President' Of Texas If State Secedes From U.S.

In a startling address to constituents, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) recently talked about controversial COVID-19 conspiracist Joe Rogan becoming the “president” of Texas if the state secedes from the union.

“I’m not there yet,” Cruz told an audience last month at Texas A&M University about Texas seceding from the United States — popularly known as “Texit.”

But “if there comes a point where it’s hopeless, then I think we take NASA, we take the military, we take the oil,” he said to loud applause.

Asked if he would also take Rogan, a Texan, Cruz responded: “Joe Rogan, he might be president of Texas!”

When Cruz was asked by a member of the audience about the possibility of seceding, he said he “understood the sentiment.” But he added that he wasn’t ready for it — yet.

The GOP in Hunterdon County - and we'll take anyone in Houston that wants to move there.

And my forefathers didn't fight for me - they fought for white men - not black people.

Then again - I wouldn't mind if the North East Seceded. I'm so sick of their religion and guns and all of their social issue bullshit. Like - what do I care in NJ! Only Jesus can save them from me now!

Ted Cruz wasn't getting enough attention so like the spoiled brat he is - he threw a tantrum.

If its not the VRA - I don't care.

And of course he did this within days of the BIF passing.

The media is so stupid.

Once their grid, economy and government collapses.

Make an example of them. Blockade and embargo their asses like Cuba and North Korea until they're living off armadillos and cactus pads, while fighting off Mexican cartels to the south.

Other advantages
No more Greg ab-butt, john corynin
One less red state draining blue states
They would more than likely never win the presidency again
There’s lots of up sides!

once we pull our military, our money (including oil and ag subsidies), and NASA away from them and offer repatriation to all right-thinking Americans. Same with the rest of the Confedrut idjit states. Let 'em fail!

Texas secedes and they will have crippling depopulation, crash their tax base, lose all fed gov't funding, all military bases gone, and they still have to deal with the federal gov't as a neighboring nation state. Leaving them a country of impoverished yahoos. I suppose that could make them happy though. Strap on their six guns and take to riding horses again.

Maybe Mexico will annex them, that would be fn hilarious.

we pay them, and the upkeep for those big military bases, would pay that back in a heartbeat. Not to mention all that other upkeep we have to pay, just like in all other red states.

Not a serious consideration mind you, but more a 'what-if' exercise. Better local representation, more senators (and by extension, electors), etc. The political consequences alone would be fascinating as hell.

(Caveat, I sit writing this in a light blue area of Texas)
