Dennis Prager: "During the AIDS crisis, can you imagine if gay men and intravenous drug users...had they been pariahs the way the non-vaccinated are? But it would've been inconceivable"
I am unsure if Prager is genuinely that stupid (very likely) or if he is simply an evil man (also very likely). Maybe he's both.

(42,641 posts)Trump ignored Covid, because he assumed that it would only affect blue cities.
My vote is for evil. Prager is also a huge Islamophobe. Prager U has as much academic credibility as Trump U.

(34,076 posts)for decades, with both negative for decades, must still refrain from sex with each other for 3 months before being able to donate blood.
So if you are a happily married gay man who plans to donate every 56 days (8 weeks), plan on a life of marital celibacy. 40 years after AIDS appeared. Decades after we developed effective treatments for it.
Kinda makes pretending you are a pariah because you are being asked to get vaccinated and'or wear a mask in public a mere 2 years after the discovery of a new disease seem kind of silly.

(11,738 posts)They love to re-write history. He can talk to ANY of the survivors of that initial epidemic (if there are any left) and ask them if they felt like pariah's.
I remember the utter fear of "touching a toilet seat" and getting AIDS. All it was was talk about, "the gay cancer" and how their immoral lifestyle brought it on.
Asshole.

(16,847 posts)Last week he was saying that conservatives today were in "the same place that gay men were 50 years ago -- afraid to come out of the closet." I laughed then at what a ludicrous statement that was, but it was also deeply offensive to compare what gay men went through back then with whatever little slights a conservative might have to deal with now. He knows better than that, too, he just gets his rocks off making such disgusting comparisons.

(26,044 posts)At first glance, it reads as if Praeger himself considers the unvaccinated to be pariahs.
