Macy's to lift minimum wage to $15 an hour as labor market tightens

Macy's Inc (M.N) will raise the minimum wage of its more than 100,000 U.S. employees to $15 an hour by May, the department store chain said on Monday, as retailers fight to hire and retain workers in an increasingly competitive labor market.

Good. I hope it forces more to raise their minimum wage.

The lights were out, although the sign said they were open until 8 pm.

So, I decided to try Macy's. Macy's sign also said 8 pm, but they were open. Started talking to a clerk. She said they were open until 9 due to their Pre-Black Friday sale. I bought myself a purse.

The clerk at Macy's told me that Dillard's is now only open until 7 pm. Good grief, that's bad...Dillard's can't kept themselves open?
