After you got out of school, have taken front and center in the USA today. I can easily picture the ones who are loud mouth right wingers nowadays. I might be wrong in some cases, but I'd bet I'd be right a lot more often. Most of them learned to keep it somewhat hidden in public, but TFG has made them think its ok to share their views and try to push them onto others. Its a depressing situation.

(56,828 posts)I graduated high school in the mid 80s at the height of Reagan's popularity - my graduating class had about 100 kids. It was mostly a working class town and 2 kids out of that 100 in my class were black, and none were Hispanic or Asian. There was 1 Asian girl the year behind me and she was it for the entire high school (her younger brother was in the middle school)
However, when I got onto Facebook in 2009, I was able to reconnect with many of these friends that I had hardly heard from since high school graduation. But, I grew to find out that a large percentage of these people I went to high school with were diehard Republicans. So, it got to the point where when I logged into facebook, it was mostly pro-GOP memes (offset by the DUers I connected with on there)
