But that's not going to happen, because we wouldn't want to enrage the other side.

I guess the solution is just to accept the fact our Democracy is a complete joke, and that crime pays. Maybe next time their little insurrection will be a success, and then we'll be in great shape.

It's do-able, but the down-side is it takes a long damn time to adjudicate.

Use of its Inherent Contempt Power could be more effective and quicker-acting, but there's a HUGE public relations downside to using it as the TX GOP found out in 2003 when they sent the Texas Rangers to round up the Democrats in Ardmore who were then avoiding quorum.

On the PR side, it's a coin-toss and I don't like those odds less than a year out from mid-terms.
