I think I've found my retirement passion.

Don't get me wrong...I'm loving it, but it can be boring. My best friend just got us hooked up with a local rescue organization that saves dogs from the Korean meat markets. We pick up in LA and transport back to Las Vegas where they stay with fosters until they go to their forever homes. We just did our first run, and what a great feeling!!

If that was in-fact the intention, wouldn't animal cruelty charges be in order by the authorities?

A lot more detail would be appreciated.

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — Animal rights groups on Tuesday welcomed the South Korean president’s offer to look into banning consumption of dog meat.

Dog meat is neither legal nor explicitly banned in South Korea. Restaurants that serve it are a dwindling business here as younger people find dog meat a less appetizing dining option. But some people oppose a ban as a surrender to Western pressure.

There are organizations that bring them from Korea to the States. Then they find homes for them here. I'm assuming that's what he's talking about, so I might be way off too.

I probably didn't make it clear in my initial post, 'cause I was still on the high of getting them here! They are flown here from Korea, and their papers show the lady that picks them up at the airport as "owner". We then pick them up from her (although we're getting cleared to pick them up at the airport now), and transport them here to their foster parents. These two already have been adopted, they are just being given a chance to "decompress" after their journey. I have no idea how to post up pictures from my files here, but they are a couple of sweethearts about 4 months old, a Golden Retriever/Korean Jindo dog mix.

out that you meant a geographical area. I thought you were talking about local markets in L.A.. like the Chinese market or the Russian deli or the Danish pastry shop!

Didn't even think about the fact we have Korean markets all over this country. Yep...these guys are coming in from South Korea.
