(51,638 posts)out something that has specific memories for me. After I die someone else can do it but I just don't have the heart to toss my memories. They appear silly and meaningless in the eyes of others but to me they are priceless treasures.

(9,214 posts)On our honeymoon, we saw Romeo and Juliet at the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis. On the way out, we stopped at the little gift shop that was open after the Sunday matinee, and bought a small Christmas decoration. Its a little beat up, but we get it out every year, even though we no longer put up everything we have for Christmas.

(9,275 posts)I have hand-crocheted ornaments that my MIL made for the kids when they were little. She died in 1994, my daughter has vague memories of her (she was 8) and my son has none. So glad we have these to remember her.

This is the second house I lived in.
The other was my parents.
In between I lived in a camper.
This house was my first really adult purchase except for the truck and camper.
A lot of holidays.
Christmas has exploded here.
