Matthew McConaughey says he opposes vaccine mandates for kids

Matthew McConaughey, who is contemplating a run for Texas governor, said Tuesday that he opposes COVID-19 vaccine mandates for "younger kids."

The 52-year-old actor, who is the father of three children between the ages of 8 to 13, revealed during the New York Times DealBook summit that he was against vaccine mandates for some kids and he will not vaccinate his own "right now."

"Do I think there's any kind of scam or conspiracy theory? Hell, no, I don't," he said, adding he knows scientists are "trying to do the right thing."

"I couldn't mandate having to vaccinate the younger kids," he later added. "I still want to find out more information."

McConaughey started the just keep livin foundation, which is "dedicated to helping teenage kids lead active lives and make healthy choices to become great men and women".

How many children's tombstones will have the epitaph, "My mentor Matt still just wanted to find out more information"?

Just say something neutral, like- "I listen to the scientists."

Don't ruin your career with the thinking half of the population.

7. Why would McConaughey's opinion on masking children carry any weight at all? With anyone?

He has zero training in epidemiology or medicine. And though he's guest lectured in some acting classes, he knows close to zero about public health and education and keeping kids safe.

I'm really fucking sick of the "I'm doing my own research" crowd like McConaughey and KAaron Rogers, that think reading bullshit on google, or talking to steroid addled Joe Rogan, equips them to make a truly "intelligent" decision. I really don't care who they are, they're ignorant because they're too dumb to know what they don't know. Hopeless.

get his PhD in epidemiology, or public health, or education? He teaches acting, FFS?

And he should not be elected any more than Trump or Schwartzenegger should have been elected. Or better yet, Ronald Reagan. When will we learn?
