Of an insane portion of our population who think that arbitrarily shooting people is allowable by law. This poor dumb kid bombarded for probably more than half his life by the rightwingnut social media and friends many much older is why this kid entered this dream state in which he thought would have zero repercussions for killing people. Probably thought he'd be hailed a hero. Parents if you have kids especially young boys watch who they hang with. Watch what they do online, who they talk to. Our fucked up society and this kids mom are directly responsible for this.

I had not known much about Rittenhouse's childhood or about Rosenbaum's mental and criminal issues. I still don't think he deserved to be shot to death.

The RW focus on looting/rioting/Antifa boogeyman was unrelenting. The "when the looting starts, the shooting starts" cliche was everywhere, and honestly, there was looting and property destruction going on.

RW Militias were looking for an excuse to confront blacks and leftists in the streets. They've been seeking that, through provocation, for years. BLM was a dream come true for them, and they took advantage of it everywhere they could, including as Agent Provocateurs.

Rittenhouse was a pawn in that campaign. That many guns in the hands of that many amateurs was bound to spark a shooting incident.

The irony is that ALL parties appear to have believed they were doing the right thing, except maybe for Rosenbaum (I'm not clear on what he did, but it probably did not warrant a bullet in the head).

Huber & Grosskreutz were trying to stop and apprehend an active shooter.

Rittenhouse believed he was in mortal danger, and there is a nonzero chance he was.

Is that a valid excuse to kill 2 unarmed people with a MSSA rifle that you weren't allowed to possess? Because this is America, I'm not sure any more. The playing field is tilted in favor of the man (boy) with the gun.
