Moscow Mitch ups pressure on Manchin, Sinema: They could sink spending plan

Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) is upping pressure on Sens. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) and Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) to scuttle President Biden's social and climate spending bill.

McConnell, during an interview with Kentucky radio station WKYX, argued that Democrats should have "dropped the whole thing," referencing the bill, after last week's elections in Virginia and New Jersey.

"If the Democrats in the Senate, all 50 of them, fall in line, they can pass it. If any one of them isn't there in a 50-50 Senate, it will be defeated," McConnell said.

"The two Senate Democrats who are resisting-Joe Manchin from West Virginia and Kyrsten Sinema from Arizona-we'll see how strong they are. They could kill the whole thing, either one of them," McConnell added.

threaten them, buy them whatever it takes Republicans will do it.

Think how ironic it would be if NcConnell dropped dead and Beshear appointed a democrat. Maybe Dandy Randy also.

$550 billion new spend is NOT paid for.

Manchin and Sinema and the 12 'moderates' in the House are rank hypocrites to demand the BIF be passed and yet gob on about debt over the BBB which was fully paid for.

Manchin and Sinema and the 12 House centrists also have ripped out, funding-wise (or added in tax breaks that mostly go to the richest Americans) over $2 TRILLION.

That is MORE than the entire topline spend number of the BBB atm ($1.75 trillion)

so if we get any kind of BBB bill passed at all, I'll consider it a victory of sorts.
