Let's hear it for the hidden veterans

Military families.

I went through ten schools by the time I graduated from high school. ((blame the Air Force))

Even in the 1980s (some time later), the Navy favored switching people from coast to coast at the three year mark (or earlier).

And meanwhile, with every PCS, somethings would get broken/missing/etc., which spouses ((usually then wives)) would have to put up with.

That's why I cringe when at the polls, when retirees and some active-duty people present military ID, a certain election officer thanks them for their service but doesn't do the same for their spouse.

last more that a couple of years. Either my family would move or theirs would.
