Now: The DC Circuit will temporarily block the Jan. 6 committee from getting Trump's records in advance of tomorrow's due date. This is an "administrative" injunction and not a decision on the merits. Arguments set for 11/30 before Judges Millett, Wilkins, Jackson.

For some reason he seems to always be allowed an infinite amount of appeals on every issue.

He will take this all the way to the Supreme Court unless Republicans take over the house and kill the investigation first.

Congress is not likely to ever see the documents because if they are ever about to be released he will come up with a different reason to block them and the whole thing starts over.

He knows how to use the legal system to prevent ever having to suffer a judgement. Ever.
The only one I know of was for his college and he allowed that to end only because it was getting in way of his running for president.
It was his decision to allow a judgement.

A district judge isn’t going to be the final word on a separation of powers question.

He’s almost certainly going to lose… but it was never likely to end with a single judge.

virtual or actual, is to observe, and then participate respectfully.

In the particular case of your post, some of the other posters are well qualified to have made the responses they did. Clearly you have not been here long enough to have known that.

We are not here to criticize each other. In fact, at a certain level such criticism is against the terms of service. We try to confine our criticism to republicans behaving badly. There’s enough of that to keep us busy. Hope you re-set and stay around.

“We try to confine ourselves to Republicans behaving badly”

Pretty much the underlying point of my post. I will indeed stick around. I can’t promise any re-set, but I’ll try not to be so difficult to comprehend

The District Court that ruled against him essentially invited him to ask the Court of Appeals.
The Committee didn't oppose the request.

Why? Because appeals courts are going to protect their jurisdiction by ensuring that a case doesn't become moot before they can rule on it. The standard for granting an "administrative injunction" is different than the standard for granting a stay pending appeal and it is unlikely that Trump can prevail under the standard that will be applied in the next round.
