Patton Oswalt's response to the NYT RE: Kyle Rittenhouse...

Charles Manson, who loved dune buggies and idolized The Beatles, arrived in Los Angeles with dreams of recording success. A thwarted record deal and an address mix-up led to him expressing his grievances in a way that many have issues with.

Kyle Rittenhouse, who has idolized law enforcement since he was young, arrived in Kenosha on Aug. 25, 2020, with at least one mission: to play the role of police officer and medic. The night would end with him fatally shooting two men and wounding another. https://nyti.ms/3H7spOl

Is this a Q challenge?

BTW, DU has something called MIRT that will track this thread (even though it is early on Saturday) to see every time you reregister to do this kind of thing. You really are wasting your time and should go elsewhere.

He had every intention of hurting people that night, however, not helping. He was there to hunt, not heal.

If we take him at his word, it's hard to come up with anything else, huh? The DA should ask him if he was there to put people out of their misery. His reaction would be revealing, I think.

You know, a basic first-aid kit.

A first-aid kit will do nothing to repair or stop the bleeding from a wound caused from assault-type weapon wounds. They tear tissue and explode bone to an exponentially worse degree than a standard hand gun round. I'm sure he knew that too.

In this Ohio diner, Hume still means Brit, not David. But they do know this: critical race theory began as a response to — and rejection of — the principles of the Enlightenment and the Age of Reason on which the American republic was founded.

There's nothing in that sentence that isn't a fact, and it's not editorial. That's the ideal NYT style.

The article itself gives facts and context and nuance. Sorry it's not a tweet claiming his mom bought him the gun or something when she didn't.

Gotta be more than just that, right?

Is it the "objective" style of national political reporting? the asshats on the editorial page? maybe it's the style section?
