She is described as a progressive in the mold of Bernie Sanders. She has already announced she'll be running for congress in Michigan's 10th district.

Admittedly, I don't know much about her. However, I like what I've been reading. The announcement of her candidacy has seemingly triggered all the usual racist, sexist, RW Islamophobic suspects, and that's a great thing. It shows that they're scared of her, and the potential impact she might have, already.

I wish her the best. She's exactly the kind of fresh face our party needs going forward.
