On Rittenhouse either killing again or is killed within ten years? If anyone feels threatened couldn't they shoot him and claim self defense? After all, he's known to have a weapon and to use it.

I know your anger and frustration, but if we surrender our moral compass there will be no moral compass in this country. The fascists want us to fight on their level, because when that happens they win. If we stoop to their level there’s nothing left to fight for.

3. What's stooping to their level?

I know his type. I grew up with his type. He won't learn from this- even his mother proudly stated that he'd do it all again. And the sheer adulation he's receiving from the Right will encourage this behavior.

I think he goes to the wrong bar or picks a fight with the wrong person at the beach. He's already on video beating up on a young woman down at the harbor so he has a history.

It's possible he continues getting in trouble, but doesn't kill anybody ever again.

8. I think someone else assaults him at least

Not over this case,though. His old classmates said he was obnoxious and always starting arguments. Others have said he will start fights. He was recorded punching a girl just two weeks before these events.

Honestly, if he started a fight with me in a bar and I had a gun I'd probably shoot and take my chances. I'd claim self defense and that I feared my life was in danger because of his obstacles actions.

4. I'd say pretty low

He's a rightwing hero, he'll be well supported by his fans. He got to be famous, just like he wanted.

He'll have money and attention, which I think will keep him being a pain society's ass in other ways.

I think the trial and uncertainty will leave its mark on him, and leave him a little more cautious. Perhaps that's just a little optimism on my part, that even someone like that can learn a little.

6. I've met kids like him

He might be cautious in the short term but in the long run he'll get smarmy and he'll pick another fight or whatever. His own mother said he would gladly do it all over again-and she seemed proud of it.

In a few years the Right will dump him. He's not handsome, he has no education and from accounts about him from former classmates no one was really surprised.

He will make money now but in a few years? Nah. He's uneducated and doesn't have the right look. They'll drop him and where will he be? Angry.
