..talk about the Big Lie or any of the anti-Democracy stuff we talk about?
I recorded 40 or so minutes of Fox & Friends this morning, then fast forwarded through it. They discussed the China origins of covid, BLM and policing, blamed Biden for the current inflation because he hasn't done anything on fixing the supply chain, pushed vaccine mandates, cut energy supplies and passed the future spending infrastructure legislation. Then said the Dems were jamming social programs through as a political strategy, talked about Twitter suspending a Rittenhouse supporter and a general soft on crime problem dealing retail store looters...
Nothing about Jan 6 or the Select Committee, nothing about the Bannon indictment or Meadows failure to show up, nothing about Texas reversing Roe, nothing about Gosar, nothing about Trump's increased insanity with the election, nothing about all the threats against school board members and sane politicians, nothing about the authoritarian, fascist mentality of the Trump cult.
I don't watch Fox for the very reason they are totally one-sided; I just check in occasionally to see if anything has changed.

(11,608 posts)Fox was created for the purpose of being politically one-sided. Actually worse than that--the one side they feature is contrived to give the illusion of one party being principled and responsible when the opposite is true. It lulls people into thinking that right-wing politics are truly American and that the viewers/supporters are good Americans. Therefore they support anything the network is pushing--a win for right-wing/so called conservative policies and politicians. It is creating support for authoritarian ultranationalism and rapacious capitalism.
They report a lot of stuff but it's what they want the listeners to hear.
