"Look at this picture - is this the face and outfit of an insurrectionist who was planning on killing somebody and overturning the federal government? Please. He shouldn't have faced any prosecution. This is all political theater."
I really don't know who he is talking to...

(63,912 posts)He started in on that episode and got in deep. He said on Facebook that he actually saw a video filming "voters who voted more than once." That got such an uproar on Facebook that he got very quiet,l because he had his friends ask him, online, if he was "all right" and "we really need to talk..."
It makes me sad because he and his family are wonderful neighbors and take care of our trash pickup every week.

(63,912 posts)had to go through. I think that had to have just made him a bit crazy. And also, years ago he and his wife lost a baby that was just born too soon, despite doctors best care trying to keep that tiny baby alive. I have started to make a yearly donation to a fund they started in her name for the premature babies unit at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
They are nice people who have had their share of grief and torment, and still are helpful to us. Oh well, maybe he is just blowing off steam...

(2,636 posts)So a lying murderer who took his AR out to hunt people, with a documented past including beating on a girl (who kicked his pasty ass) and wishing he could shoot people who shoplifted, who killed two actual people and maimed another with his big boy nerf gun is a Good Boy because???
He shot people whom he thought saw Black people as fully human? It's OK to shoot people who advocate against police brutality? It's OK to take the law into your own hands, just so long as you're white and "afraid for my life."
Think I'll go commandeer a Porsche. "But I was afraid for my life, so I hopped in the nearest roadster....."

(115,823 posts)Times up, motherfuckers is not peaceful, your honor, the prosecutor argued, with respect to what he yelled in the Senate chamber. Thats chilling. She noted the letter he left on Pences desk ― Its only a matter of time. Justice is coming. ― was not peaceful, but threatening. The prosecutor argued further: The world watched the actions of this defendant and others on January 6, 2021 shake one of the foundations of our democracy ― the peaceful transfer of power after free and fair elections ― and has made us all question the safety and security of the country in which we live. Those enormous harms, borne out of the acts of this defendant, must be deterred so that we never see a similar assault on our democracy again.
The doofus actually received the minimum sentence under the sentencing guidelines.
