If this new variant makes its way here

moderna is saying they can rework the vaccine to be more effective so I assume that means we will have to get revaccinated.
Will the anti vaxxer/magaloons throw another tantrum and just keep dying off ?
It's really sad that they have been used as fools and then killed by their ignorance.

I read the numbers off the below graph, so the title numbers are approximate.

We'd better get that vax developed and people vaxxed at hyper-warp speed.

Virologist I saw on NBC this evening said it is almost certainly already in the USA and circulating as with all the other variants regardless of where first sequenced, they were all in the USA before we had any chance to react to it.

Here comes the next wave..........

We were planning on getting our Moderna booster next week. Now I'm wondering if we should wait until it's reworked for this omicron variant.

that should be addressed although I am fairly certain the advice would always be to get vaccinated as soon as we are eligible

They made a stupid decision ,dismiss the evidence and all sorts of supports explaining why vaccine is safe, and the efforts of vaxxed family and they refuse to mask even ignoring how protective wearing a mask is. They even take off other people's masks.

I am not sad when these adult antivax repuke quaner assholes die off. I can admit I wish it was faster.

I feel sad that people with actual needs for healthcare and vaxxed people who need care that can't get it because of the anti vax idiots. Asshole repuke hypocrites who should be following thier own beliefs and advice to the end and stay home and die there.

However, thier kids I am sad for. And its a tragedy that never had to happen. Kids never had a choice to vax because thier toxic ignorant parents forbade it .Nor were they allowed access to the information about vaccines to decide for themselves..

And I am sad for immunocomprimised and others who can't take a vaccine.

It must be hard quarentining away from them.

They made thier choices
Its just sad what risks they take so selfishly and ignorantly effects you too.

I hope the best for you and that they dont give you covid and the antivaxx parents and thier antivaxx friends don't give the kids covid.

They impact every one they come into contact with. I know a ton of people who have breakthrough cases. Some of them were infected by other vaccinated individuals, but many were infected by people who made stupid decisions.

Aside from the direct impact, these people are where the variants (which may well overcome immunity) are created.

Celebrating their deaths is also celebrating the havoc they wreak on the way to death.

These pathogens generally mutate to be more contagious and less dangerous as time goes on.

When the experts say we should be concerned based off of data and studies (now underway), I want to be sure we are concerned as a society. If early speculation about a specific danger turns out to be unwarranted in hindsight, it only erodes the collective willingness and ability to react to the next threat. And eventually there will be a threat. Is it the one from Botswana? Maybe, but the jury is still out.
