(7,568 posts)Employers are allowed to offer employee health incentives, not to exceed 30% of the unsubsidized cost of their health plan premiums.
If health insurance costs a company $500 a month, they are allowed to offer health incentives of up to $1,800 during the plan year. They can tie some or all of that money toward vaccination requirements. Note that companies are required to offer "reasonable accommodations" to people who cannot achieve certain health goals though, which is why attending a couple of coaching sessions allows overweight people, people with high blood pressure, and people with high cholesterol to get the same incentives as healthy people.
