What if Act Blue offered a platform, that invested x$ quarterly, spread through various campaigns? (Original Post) OAITW r.2.0 Nov 2021 OP

No axe to grind, just trying to think how this financial/political platform can be investor focused OAITW r.2.0 Nov 2021 #2
In my experience it is set up to be as simple and understandable as possible: state which candidate Hekate Nov 2021 #3

Please fill us in on what you know or have heard or suspect that disturbs you about them? And any sources you may have?

… or group you want your donation to go to, state how much, and say yes or no to a donation to Act Blue itself.

As a user, I appreciate the directness and simplicity of the system. Treating it as an “investment” would turn me right off — it’s a straight donation.

When I send money to Planned Parenthood or the Food Bank or Direct Relief, I am sometimes given a choice about priorities, but I usually just check the box that says, “where most needed,” because I trust them to do the right thing. In the same way, I use Act Blue for individual candidates, and never allow them to charge me monthly.

Let's say I go to AB and say, I will be committing x$ over the 2022 cycle. Quarterly, I will release the money....after I decide who this money will be allocated to.
