Been listening to/trying to watch MSNBC

Was called away for a bit, just got back to it.

Am I wrong, but has it been focusing a lot on anti-Roe arguments? Just now they were interviewing somebody from Students for Life. This may be a misperception.

I don’t know how much more I can take of this today. I have a bad feeling about it. If Roe is thown back to the states — mine in particular — we are headed into some very dark times.

Turn it off. I’m so glad I shut off all news (except here) In November 2020. One of the best decisions I made.

After getting rid of abortion they will go after birth control, after that abuse will no longer be a crime, then the rest of women's rights one by one will come under attack. It will be like the 1950's and 60's. I know I lived in those years. You had to get permission from your husband just to get birth control, no husband, tough luck. The young women of today have no idea of what life was like for women in the days of my youth. They may soon find out.

That word drips with judgment the way its replacement, single mother, does not.

My birthmother carried the secret and the shame of giving birth to me. She never discussed it, even after I'd found her. She kept that secret for 44 years until she told her other kids and her friends. She and her boyfriend of three years were going to marry, but I came along before that happened in the late 60s. If you were an unexpected surprise, and your parents were not married, you were surrendered/relinquished/placed/given up and your mother, all of 20 and knocked unconscious for delivery, was coerced into signing a Termination of parental rights so a different, likely older and more affluent, childless couple could become mom and dad.

It was a different time, indeed.

The GOP finds sex icky. They punish anyone who seemed to enjoy it, or got caught having it.

Gross Old Pervs.

it's completely negative especially towards Democrats. They barely mention voting suppressions and gerrymandering in mostly red states nor the absence of democracy in those states. If Roe v Wade is overturned, hell will ensue much more, and women rights be damned.
