And the woman’s life can be threatened at any time throughout pregnancy. What about women who learn that they have aggressive cancer at week 21? Sorry, you can’t have an abortion and you can’t have chemo or we’ll prosecute for for endangering a fetus. Try not to die before you birth the baby.

Is there some secret line of people lining up to adopt severely handicapped or profoundly disabled newborns?
