"SNIP......

“Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT), one of his party’s most centrist members, made an intensely personal case for ambitious climate action in the Democrats’ social spending package,” Politico reports.

“He said this summer’s drought led to the worst year on his farm since they began farming in the 1970s and that he ‘longed’ for the day when his tractor could be powered off a battery, instead of diesel fuel.”

Said Tester: “If we don’t do something about climate change and start today with real solutions, there are going to be a lot of hungry people in this world. A lot of hungry people.”

The average high is around 30.

No one can convince me we haven't broken Earth.

All there is to do now is grieve.

our highs are still in the mid 60s. Typically, we have highs in the 40s this time of year. Climate change is real and advancing every moment.

It feels like spring and it isn't normal. I am grateful at least one person in MT's leadership that knows this is no joke.

Pretty sure that's a good amount above normal average, though also not wildly uncommon I don't think.

What's more uncommon is the number of days over 80F overall for November ...

PHOENIX, AZ — November 2021 was a warm-weather record-breaker in Phoenix, according to the National Weather Service.

Phoenix recorded the warmest average high temperature in the past 30 years this November at 83.3 degrees, according to weather service records. Every single day in November 2021 in Phoenix hit a high temperature that was warmer than average, and all days but five hit a high that was at least five degrees warmer than usual.

Eight days that month hit a high 10 degrees or more above normal for November, according to the weather service.

Phoenix also broke a record in November for the most days that month that reached 80 degrees or warmer, at 25 days. The previous record of 24 days at 80 degrees or warmer in November was set in 1949.
