Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT), one of his partys most centrist members, made an intensely personal case for ambitious climate action in the Democrats social spending package, Politico reports.
He said this summers drought led to the worst year on his farm since they began farming in the 1970s and that he longed for the day when his tractor could be powered off a battery, instead of diesel fuel.
Said Tester: If we dont do something about climate change and start today with real solutions, there are going to be a lot of hungry people in this world. A lot of hungry people.

Eight days that month hit a high 10 degrees or more above normal for November, according to the weather service.
Phoenix also broke a record in November for the most days that month that reached 80 degrees or warmer, at 25 days. The previous record of 24 days at 80 degrees or warmer in November was set in 1949.
