Official: Michigan Boy Discussed Killing Students in Video

Authorities say a 15-year-old boy charged in a shooting at a Michigan high school recorded video night before the violence in which he discussed killing students.

The revelation was made by Oakland County Sheriff's Lt. Tim Willis during a court hearing for Ethan Crumbley.
Crumbley is accused of killing four students and injuring seven others Tuesday at Oxford High School. He's charged as an adult with murder, attempted murder and terrorism causing death. Willis made the comments shortly before Crumbley was to be arraigned.

Authorities have not revealed a possible motive for the violence.

School met with suspect, parents over concerning behavior the morning of Oxford shooting, police say

(WXYZ) — Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said Oxford High School had contact with the suspect in a shooting, the day of the shooting.

Speaking at a press conference, Bouchard said that the schools did have contact with the suspect, identified as 15-year-old Ethan Crumbley, both the day before and the day of the shooting.

According to Bouchard, there was also a face-to-face meeting with the suspect's parents the morning of the shooting. He said the suspect was at the school, brought into a meeting, and then the shooting happened.

The meeting was over behavior in the classroom that was concerning, he said.

In the press conference, Bouchard said that there is no motive in the shooting yet, and there is no evidence that he was bullied.

So the parents were made aware of such a concerning matter regarding their son and they still allowed him access to a gun when their son talked about shooting students?

morning.

Don't see any reason to suspect (YET) that either parent was aware that he had it already when they were meeting with the school officials.

nor did the Administration.

They probably suspended or expelled him the meeting, he went to his locker, and bang, Rampage Shooting.

Pure speculation, though.

16. Anyone who owns a gun should know exactly where it is at all times.

The way to do this is to properly store that gun (preferably in a safe or other locked area) when it isn't being used. Same with ammunition. There's no excuse for owning a gun and not knowing where it is. None.

I suspect 'thug', 'hoodlum' and other colorful pejoratives will be all but avoided. A tactical use of white-out by the for-profit media.
