(6,292 posts)compensate them for the labor and risk of life it will just keep going this way.
Lets start the conversation by talking about free healthcare for all women of childbearing age, free childcare. A model for financial compensation for the work of producing a baby begins by looking to what surrogates are paid.
If the government wont step up to the task- notable the republicans block anything reasonable, bonds should be required of all men capable of causing a pregnancy. If the state wont fund these costs, then males should be forced to either have a vasectomy or post a million dollar bond. Any pregnancies that they cause the woman ( now forced to produce the child against her will) could draw upon for this for pain, suffering, risk of life and work.
Its time to turn the tables here. Either individual males post bonds or the government pays. Child production forced upon anyone should not be uncompensated.

(4,846 posts)You can simply give the baby away for adoption, problem solved. You aren't a slave for life.....

(6,139 posts)apparently, women can also find prospective parents who may fund the pregnancy contingent upon adoption. No one was arguing that a woman is to raise a baby, just to carry fetus till birth.

(9,273 posts)The one about involuntary servitude. If being forced to endure potentially life-threatening childbirth by the government isnt involuntary servitude, I dont know what is.
