So it's probably been around since October and may not have originated in South Africa.
But our panicky response was to impose a travel ban which will result in economic disaster for the country that alerted us to the problem.
End the travel ban! Don't do dumb stuff! (Even the panicky Dr. Ding thinks we should get rid of it.)

1. Insufficient math.

1. a week or month of travel banning by airplane is not a lot.
2. As the linked story notes: not much data on current spread and other statistics
3. Biden Team is on the job.
4. Don’t copy anything that can be used by Covid deniers.
5. It seems reasonable to say that all of us know Covid victims. I know 7, 2 of whom are dead. I don’t want to dishonor them by not doing my best at social distancing etc and disparaging efforts by Team Blue.
