I damn near smoked a cigarette after reading this brilliant thread.

The best summation of the stupid, entitled, unthinking hypocrisy of the right that I I’ve ever read. I wish I’d written it. I’ll sure as hell share it!

I bet her grandfather went to college on the GI bill. Student loans for other family members.

Her family probably gets subsidy checks from the farm bill year after year after year.

Probably a lot more things.

The Lib pushing "rural electrification" : That would be LBJ (probably among others). Robert CARO's chapter on this in his LBJ biography (am still waiting for the last volume, on Vietnam) is brilliant. I resisted going for the lame pun, "electrifying"!1
