As a child in Canada I got CPR training at government provided swimming lessons run by the Red Cross. In Boy Scouts I got CPR along with wound treatment, splinting broken bones, etc. Some of it by the St Johns Ambulance organization.

I strongly suspect that I was a lot more trained than that "medic" with the rifle ever was or ever will be (ASU false front registration not withstanding).

I would never have claimed to be a "medic" even with all that training.
