3. We should ask whoever questions this record: What exactly are your complaints?

I'm pretty sure they will fall way outside of anything that most of this country cares about.

- Not completing the t'rump wall
- Not continuing to give more tax breaks to the wealthy
- Not giving t'rump credit for his covid response (kidding - not giving t'rump credit for killing >500,000 Americans.)

Most of them will talk about self-inflicted boogeymen:
- Will take away our guns, especially those that are specialized to kill each other.
- Will make us take vaccines or wear masks. We feel we are privileged and can infect whoever we want.
- Will continue to encourage the de colores - all people

What they won't acknowledge are the above. It's outside of their mental capability to acknowledge that they made a huuuge fuckin' mistake. They would rather die than be a good human.

debt forever, welfare to deadbeats.....the usual right-wing crapola, incl. all the stuff you mentioned above.

9. Their complaints are not really those, though those are in the background

One of course is there:

- Will make us take vaccines or wear masks.

Their complaints (using their characterizations of things)

* Economy out of control with rapidly rising inflation
* 4 dollar gas. Was 2 dollar a year ago
* Supply chain broken, empty shelves
* Covid isn't fixed
* Influx of illegals is bring Covid and taking taxpayer money
* The US left a lot of equipment for the Taliban in Afghanistan and bungled the exodus


And yes, I am well aware of the standard rejoinder we give when we hear those complaints.

You get one thing wrong. Most of the country is aware of and thinking about and caring about those issues, even those who think Biden is doing a good job.

But you get another thing badly wrong. They think they are good human beings. In most ways, they are good human beings. If you banged on their door because your wife was bleeding in a car wreck just outside, almost all would come out and help. And be sorry they couldn't do more. The few who would blast you with a shotgun through the door are few and far between.

Just because a person doesn't want to lose their handgun doesn't make a person a bad person.

The deep demonizing and characterizing them all as mentally deficient, all deep racist, all utterly greedy
isn't working and isn't helping. They are human beings, not vermin.

They care for their daughters and love their mothers.
