"SNIP.......

“Mitch McConnell has told colleagues and donors Senate Republicans won’t release a legislative agenda before next year’s midterms, according to people who’ve attended private meetings with the minority leader,” Axios reports.

“Every midterm cycle, there are Republican donors and operatives who argue the party should release a positive, pro-active governing outline around which candidates can rally. McConnell adamantly rejects this idea, preferring to skewer Democrats for their perceived failures.”

And emphasize that the Republicans will be running on nothing but corruption and a bigoted failed one term president.

When he can spend all his time bashing the Democrats and complaining to the public about how awful they are? Also, lying through his teeth about the things they've done and how they're not getting anything done at the same time.

THAT'S his plan, and it just makes campaigning for the Fall that much easier.

The pundits tell us that the Virginia governor's race was lost because the Dems only ran against Republicans instead of talking about what they would do, and now McConnell is prepared to do the same thing?

Which is it? Do you run AGAINST someone, or FOR something??

But it seems to not work in practice, especially for Democrats. Hillary had detailed statements, proposals, and plans on her web site. Trump had nothing but slogans.

Democrats give voters too much credit. The average voter needs a short, bumper-sticker slogan. They don’t want to read pages and pages of an agenda.

Democrats need ideas AND slogans, childish as they may seem. I’ll never understand why “Dump Trump” never caught on. 😆

But, once back in the majority....they will have an agenda that the bottom 98% will not like.

I mean obviously they won't be fast tracking court nominees now that they don't have the executive, and if they're refusing any legislative action, then what are they there for?

To be fair, McConnell has also been against having and setting an agenda when his party controls the Senate.

So at least he's consistent....

If constant negativity, most of it lies, pounded out every day, on multiple RW media shows, keeps their voters energized? And keep piling on with new lies and exagerations on top of the last one, so there's never really time to address the first one. Rinse and Repeat.

Meanwhile, Democrats who have spent months and months, sometimes years, crafting some legislation to help Americans or protect them, spend their time as guests on the MSM defending their party against whatever new charges the last Republican guest accused them of. And the wrap up is...."its a divided country, both parties just spend all their time fighting!"

So when the MSM turns it into who is fighting against the other the best........guess what? Republicans win! because that is all they do, and go all in on it. And have perfected it by putting out as spokespersons, either through Fox editorials, and other RW media, or political guests on every other network, who are well versed, great actors, and able to keep a straight face and bald face lie.

Why break a trend? Not to mention that Republicans have no platform, no agenda beyond grabbing power whenever and wherever they can.

When people tell you who they are, believe them. Then fight them.
