I've been in DC for the past week. My voice has gotten raspier and raspier. I've got allergies and the dry air really exacerbates things. That's what he sounds like to me.

About the same age. Also from grandkid. Bad head cold, and raspy voice from post-nasal drip. Very minor bronchial infection.

Schools and afterschool activities are now resulting in children resuming their function as spreaders of respiratory illnesses.

get rough and raspy, and often I would eventually be reduced to whispering.

Some of us are just susceptible to laryngitis when we have to talk a lot, especially if it involves projecting our voice so everyone can hear.
