I'm so glad this little girl has been rescued and is safe. I mourn all the others who have not been saved and won't be as lucky. Maybe this is a start...

2. I think she has been removed from the village to a safe house.

The piece indicates that her mother and the children were moved to a safe house. The father was disgraced by the village for allowing CNN to film when she was sold.

I just hope she will have a chance. I bawled my eyes out when the original piece aired. Cannot imagine the horror.

10. And wonderful CPS informed the father and the "fiancee" that it was illegal to marry the girl off

due to her age, but presumably just left the girl with her family. Ain't it grand?

"A representative of the Department of Child Services, which joined the investigation, told police that she informed Mot repeatedly that actions to “marry his daughter off” were illegal, due to her age. She said two other DCS employees had informed the father and prospective husband, as well, on multiple occasions prior to Dec. 20."
