I don't believe those 2 deserve the title as they basically didn't do more to stop the 15 year old doing what he did.
But these Eff-ups are whole other level of sick and depraved. They are on the run which means they care only of about themselves. They will leave this kid taking all the blame. Yes, he need to take responsibility but the parents could have taken him out of school. They could have taken him outside the school look into his book bag and taken it from him the sent him back to school: but insisted he remain in school.
No one looked inside that bookbag.
I hope they are caught before they find a way to escape.

(23,317 posts)The US Marshalls and the FBI are now looking for them. They might pull a Brian Laundrie and go out in a blaze of glory but I doubt they have the courage for that.

They may not go out in a blaze but if their back is against the wall they will take the coward way out.

The dad has a boy and a girl, over 18 now, from previous relationships. He was a jerk about paying child support too.

(73,556 posts)It is a tragic time for the community, made worse by how repulsive the biological vessels are.
The last I heard, their attorney said they left town but are not on the run. That wouldn't seem to add up with their missing today, despite reportedly knowing they were expected to show up.
The only thing that is positive right now, in my opinion, is the prosecutor. I'm extremely impressed by her. I say that as a person who has had relatives viciously assaulted, and others murdered.

And I agree with you about the prosecutor. She seems to be doing the right things.
I'm sorry about your relatives.

I understand that even the most repulsive people have the right to legal representation. I assume that he understands that he needs to add a bit of confusion to news reports. That's his job. But he should either tell the truth -- that he couldn't reach them when they were supposed to be in court -- or just keep quiet.
It's interesting to me that MI has two of the public officials that impress me the most -- this prosecutor and the governor. They give me hope for the future.
