The idea being, that all the training in the world won't stop someone from surprising you. Real life isn't Hollywood, and having your (eta: their) head on a swivel 24/7 isn't possible.

(73,622 posts)is to get financial contributions from not only members, but from the industry that makes weapons. And you are correct that they thus encourage people to buy large quantities of guns and ammunition. Especially those that they can frighten by spreading the same feces that the republican party encourages and spreads.
Our friend is correct, too, in that even the majority of well-trained individuals tend to lack the "marksman" skills they have when shooting a target on a range ..... or in the forests where militias play. This is true, for example, when police fire at unarmed suspects. It is far more true when there are people shooting at each other, in almost every situation that applies to.

(24,610 posts)Cool, I know how this game is played. May but a hi-cap .38+ cal. Just to target practice. Got lots of property and cast iron ironwork as targets. Nothing like audible feedback.
