How long before before COVID deaths of anti-vaxxers affect midterms and views.

We see it almost every day. RW talk show host dies of COVID, Ant-Vax politician succumbs to COVID...

-How long until enough die of COVID to affect upcoming elections, especially local elections?

-How many will die before the right makes some sense of this and soften their anti-vax tone?

-How many needs to die before the MSM wakes up and sees a trend and actually reports this instead of contrived 'doomsday' economic 'news'.?

-Will enough of the ant-vaxxers with a national or regional megaphone that their message will be somewhat muted?

-How many of the RWNJ will die before the voting electorate makes a connection and sees how stupid their argument is?

would be altered by not very much. I'd bet in a race where 125,000 voters cast ballots, it wouldn't diminish the (R) column by more than .4%. Because not everyone votes. .8% of all people in a district succumb to covid. (D) voters also succumb, but at a far lower rate. So I would not expect to see an advantage of more than 800-1000 votes per district, less in smaller local races. But on the margin yes it could swing a few tight races. Sometimes 10-50 votes is a lot in a local election.

An overriding characteristic of the right wing is the inability to admit they were ever wrong

Like here in Florida, one of the the demographic groups that is the most highly vaccinated, white people over 65, also votes the most Republican. While some solid Democratic demographic groups, like Black voters here, are the least vaccinated and have a higher Covid mortality rate.

People like fantasizing about it though, like the ICUs are just full of people wearing red MAGA hats, but in reality many areas see a disproportionate amount of their Democratic voting minority population, who also can tend to be in worse health mainly due to higher poverty, affected by the virus.
