Mike Pences chief counsel, domestic policy adviser, chief of staff, and press secretary all left by the end of his first year.
Media didnt question his leadership style.
They are treating VP Harris differently because D.C. press is mostly white men and she is a black woman.

(16,846 posts)The main reason, though, is that she's the future of the Democratic Party, and they want to get an early start at tearing her down. They've been doing the same thing to Buttigieg, and they've been trying to put him and Harris at odds. It'll be a two-fer if they get the two of them to tear each other down. Harris and Buttigieg are both smart, though, so they know what the press is trying to do.

I have no doubt that this is because the GOP and Russian money want Biden /Harris out and want to flip the house and senate in 2022.
So, we'll never get the truth out of the media for the next year.
