https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/trump-denies-positive-covid-test-days-first-presidential-debate-n1285158

Two sources familiar with the matter characterized Trump's initial test on Sept. 26 as a "false positive" because of the subsequent negative test. One source said that the negative test came just hours after the positive one and that Trump tested negative again on Sept. 30, a day after the debate.

Unless we ever see the actual medical file, we'll never know

as the first test. Protocol would have been to have a PCR test second. That is not what happened.

was he positive at the debate?

We need to see the medical file.

Without that... this is all conjecture. Let's be honest, the WaPo author, Ashley Parker has a very specific and vivid public battle history with Trump.

I don't know the medical record, I don't know the facts. Neither does she.

2 later tests came back negative, one minutes after the first.

Is there something I'm not getting? I can't get thru the WaPo paywall...

Admittedly, I haven't been following this story.

a PCR test was needed. His antigen test was positive. 7 days later he was in hospital. The article goes into how most severe symptoms of covid normally don't show up for a week.

Still, the 2 negative tests aren't irrelevant.

Hey did you see the story on Taegan's site that the RE Lee pedestal was ordered to be removed by Northam finishing up the final chapter of the RE Lee Statue story?

I hope they erect some inspirational and poignant monument to replace it.

that he used improper protocol to declared himself negative.

We know that he never released any follow up tests.

We know that he was hospitalized more severely sick than anyone would be on day one or two of covid.

So yes, we do know.

It's not just conjecture.

Trump's last negative test?? I recall that clip very well, but here's a summary for those that would like one...

WASHINGTON (AP) — It is a basic, crucial question and one the White House refuses to answer: When was President Donald Trump’s last negative test for the coronavirus before he tested positive last week?

“Yeah, I’m not going to give you a detailed readout with timestamps every time the president’s tested,” White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany told reporters last weekend.

“I can’t reveal that at this time,” echoed Alyssa Farah, the White House director of strategic communications. “Doctors would like to keep it private.”

“I don’t want to go backwards,” said Dr. Sean Conley, the president’s physician.

We know he's a cynical jag off.
