School closed for the funeral, and I sat with my Mom and sister with tears running down our cheeks. I will ALWAYS remember that feeling.

I was 13 and loved that the Kennedys were the First Family. It was so sad seeing Jackie Kennedy and the kids in some of the funeral coverage. Like you I remember sitting with my mom and several sisters crying thru the funeral.

of John Jr., others. A friend of my brother, Mark worked at Berdorf's in NY in the 80s, 90s. One time Jackie was shopping there, looking at sweaters. She nicely asked him if she could sit down for a moment to rest and have a bite of food to feel better, a sandwich she'd brought. He said certainly. What a lovely person and elegant lady.

It was a classroom with 1 and 2nd grade. 50 - 60 kids
We prayed all afternoon.

For third grade my mother put us in public school. My sister was in fourth grade and couldn't read and neither could I.

They postponed their wedding for a week. For years, however, both my folks felt the assassination left a pall on their wedding.
