Senior Sony executive fired after allegedly caught trying to have sex with 15-year-old boy
WASHINGTON (TND) — Sony has reportedly fired one of its senior executives after he was allegedly caught trying to have sex with a minor by a YouTube channel operating amateur sting operations targeting pedophiles.
The channel, People v. Preds, allegedly caught George Cacioppo, a senior vice president with Sony Interactive Entertainment, attempting to meet someone he thought was a 15-year-old boy for sex.
Screenshots of the alleged conversation leading up to the meeting show the person reported to be Cacioppo using the screen name “Hosting BJ 4U” and calling himself “Jeff.” The screenshots also showed the user calling themselves “Jeff” explicitly asking for the age of the person they were talking to.
