Politicos coverage of Biden was THREE TIMES AS NEGATIVE as its overall coverage in November, our sentiment analysis found, @RyanLizzaLink to tweet
I love that
@Milbank
did this. So important.
But let's also dissect this idea, "We see it as our job to be negative." True enough and also likely damaging to our trust and to the public good. Here are the roots of

"We see it as our job to be negative, to be adversarial. But there's a real problem when we are being just as adversarial 'cuz a guy didn't pass a bill as we are when a guy is trying to overthrow democracy" @Milbank

(9,090 posts)it's a constant massive buzz to 50 mil a week and it's all attacking dems and making excuses for republicans.
when democrats eventually stop ignoring that things will change. until then, not so much. the only break we might get is that the intellectual and moral leader of the new GOP, the guy that told millions for most of 30 years that smoking doesn't cause cancer, croaked ... on cancer. it's clear that central messaging that started with him has suffered and now they're headless, back stabbing and whining, rudderless. we don't even poll for the single largest common denominator for trumpism, and even though we let those 1500 radio stations attack Biden all day it's possible we might get lucky and they destroy themselves!

Power = money = power.
Power does not like their taxes raised, their income lowered or their influence lessened.
It really isn't that difficult to understand...
