General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsTo me, we are seeing two things at play - neither with any good solution
One party has gone completely rogue - because it has been shown for decades now that laws can be broken in broad daylight, with impunity, with nothing to pay.
And one party has the reins on using propaganda - a huge non-stop well funded right wing noise machine.
We are the party that plays by the rules (but doesn't necessarily do well penalizing those who don't). We are also the party that is at a great disadvantage when it comes to the media.
Not good...not good at all.

Although we are the majority by millions.

(1,910 posts)The way the system is we will get more diverse yet ruled by the minority. No other options but for progressives to work behind the scenes. Get funds together to help women exercise their rights to abortion, educate kids in progressive schools in blue areas, and blue areas do as much business as they can with each other.
The government will be run by the minority so the majority will have to find ways to get around it as best they can.

What politician in either party will talk about any of these?

(7,403 posts)They are betting on things looking a lot different in 8-9 months than they do today and those changes will propel them to victory in November. Two things will propel this. One, the infrastructure bill will have the economy humming. Two, the public will finally hear the details on how 1/6 came about and who directed it and it will be brutal on Republicans in both their involvement and the scope. Granted, Republicans will just say so what and many will cheer defiantly but that will not carry the day for them. I am somewhat optimistic.
