Joe says that Romney lost two out of three debates, but won the season

In what sport are you declared the champ by losing the most games?

Republican politics, everybody!

That white man card can make you the champ, even after you have your ass handed to you by the black guy.

"Congratulations on getting the most votes, President Obama… Too bad you LOST the election."

is alotted 3 hours for his show (although I think they repeat the 6-7 hour at 8). And add Schmuck Toad and Andrea Greenspan, you're talking 5 hours of pure rethuggery.

On Faux, I think Shepp is the closest thing to it although they stuck Juan "I'm an opportunist" Williams on there as a foil but not with his own show.

13. Oh yeah, there are plenty of liberals on Fox News...

Often Fox has a round table with a liberal or two, and then there's Alan Colmes.

And of course, these liberals have no spine, and often look like aliens or the kind of guys who would hang out in the park and make parents nervous, "Ok, kids time to go home. Alan Colmes is skulking around again." Most of the time they barely talk in coherent sentences--while the 12 conservative panelists mock them and talk over them.

Bob Beckel is on during the day--and they might as well permanently tattoo "kick me, I enjoy it" sign across his forehead. It's really pathetic. They have him up against these testosterone boys who sound like bullies from a frat house, and Beckel usually takes a daily beating--if he can get the words out that day.

I swear to god, all a Republican has to do is stand upright and talk at these things and he's guaranteed to be called competent.

...then yeah, Romney won hands down.

Denying your own policies--and everything you've stood for, for the past eighteen months is something to really be proud of.

Hey, look over here, America! I'm a serial liar and I want to be your President!

"I'm Mitt Romney and I approve this bullshit."

15. He's right. The champ is the team or player with the most points.

And the only thing that matters are poll numbers, which are the points in this case.

Romney definitely has gotten the most points in the polls from this debate season. Where we are today, and where we were before the debates was a big gain for Romney.

I''m sorry, but you're wrong.

16. In a three game series, just because you win the first game 20 - 2 and lose the other two
Tue Oct 23, 2012, 08:57 AM

You don't with the series.

There's no aggregation of points here. All this is moving the goal posts. Had Romney been declared the loser of all three of the debates, people like Romney would just rearrange the standard for Romney doing a good job. He's doing it this morning and Joe Klein just called him on his bullshit.

There's a simple word for the treatment that Romney is getting from people like Joe, it's called "coddling".

Frankly, I don't see why Romney needs to get coddled on DU either. The man's an empty suit, there are NO excuses for this at all.

With as far as we have to go, I really doubt that Romney is going to survive all the way to election day. It's not that I'm saying that the polls are wrong, I'm merely saying that by election day, Romney's standing in the polls at this moment will be irrelevant. He's going to lose Ohio and the Prez is getting reelected.

The glossing over of Mitt Romney and his record by the media is positively delusional.

17. You a right about Romney and the media, but I still don't agree with your sports analogy.

The championship is the election, not who won the most debates.

I think we will have to disagree on that part.

18. Your analysis is correct

I think the one thing I would add is the media narrative has driven SOME of the push either way.

But, unfortunately, BO had a VERY comfortable and building margin the minute before debate one, and assuming a little bit of positive BO momentum after last night, he will be at a markedly less advantageous position after the four debates.

Again, SOME of it had to do with the media spin.

but, I think there was definitely a lot Romney votes that were his, but undeclared prior to debate one.
