(16,846 posts)Between the money he makes from his garbage literature and the amount he cons from the sheep at his megachurch, he's become a wealthy motherfucker. In 2019 it was estimated that he was worth $100 million. No telling how much now. Why does he keep doing it? I would fucking retire somewhere. Wish he would go away.

(7,901 posts)It has been said that so much wealth creates a kind of paranoia of losing any of it in some people. So does the fear of being exposed as a Con Artist (Right Joel?).
It has also been observed that the Rich are not like everyone else because they CAN buy their way into and out of almost any situation. Thus the "normal" consequences which help guide moral decisions don't really apply to them. Just look at Giuliani or Cuomo, just to pick 2 examples of this condition. Or consider those Rich parents recently prosecuted for buying their kids into College.

(16,846 posts)They see a different world of possibilities that most of us never experience. I suppose the temptation to see how far they can push the limits is irresistible for many of them.

(35,684 posts)Ill never forget how osteen denied people a place to stay in the storm. Meanwhile the local furniture store let people in and let them sleep on the showroom model beds.
Thats why people openly call osteen a pos to his face.
