Climate change, Roe V. Wade, economic equality, gender equality, race equality, healthcare, social security -- kiss it all goodbye if voting rights aren't protected, and d**n soon. We could be living in the american taliban rule for a multitude of decades, if humanity survives that long.

(16,991 posts)if the current situation in the U.S. isn't American taliban, I don't know what is. We have erosion of civil rights, women's rights, collapsing bridges and hospitals, uncontrolled disease, starving children, homeless adults, and an increasingly powerful, but corrupt party trying to be even more powerful through any means. Tell me what I've left out of this misery.
Any country in the world can have the worst. America used to want to have the best and took joy in excellence.
