He will do everything in his (rapidly diminishing) power to destroy your political aspirations/career if he perceives any statement you've ever made to be detrimental to his political aspirations/career.

He will remind you at every turn that you "owe him" your loyalty, but he owes you nothing.

No matter how close you've been to him, he will insist that he "doesn't know you" as soon as you are seen as a political and/or personal liability.

He will continue to surround himself with ass-kissers, and if you don't attach your lips to his rear-end fast enough, he'll throw you under that ever-enlarging bus.

The fact that any of this needs to be pointed out to you speaks for itself - and speaks volumes about just how willing you are to pucker up.
