Eliminating the Electoral College is next to impossible; 2/3 vote of Congress and 2/3 vote of state Houses.

(7,412 posts)Always teetering around the 50% mark like FL and more recently GA. Probably a decade away from seeing that possibly evolve in TX though. Theyre still at least a 6+ R state for the next few cycles at least. Beto is not doing any favors doubling down on his gun control stance this cycle either.

(1,969 posts)And we keep running the wrong kind of candidate there. We need one lighter on guns and harder on immigration and abortion to get the Hispanic vote back solidly in our corner. Someone with those stances but who is otherwise still a solid democrat. We used to have plenty of candidates like this. We have lost our way in some areas.
